What is Believer’s Baptism?

The Truth From God’s Word of Believer’s Baptism

The Biblical reason for Baptism is so that all who have trusted Christ as Saviour may promptly make public our profession of Christ. Each new Christian should follow the Lord’s command for believer’s baptism, and this Scriptural baptism is always by immersion (after salvation). Baptism itself does not save, it is the Lord’s prescribed way for us to identify ourselves with Him in open confession, and it is a symbolic representation, a picture of the death, burial and resurrection of Christ. It also aids to keep us accountable to our commitment to henceforth let Jesus be the Lord of our lives.

Romans 10:9-10 “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”

Acts 16:29-34 “Then he called for a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas, and brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. And they spake unto him the word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house. And he took them the same hour of the night, and washed their stripes; and was baptized, he and all his, straightway. And when he had brought them into his house, he set meat before them, and rejoiced, believing in God with all his house.”

Matthew 10:32-33 “Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.”

Matthew 28:18-20 “And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen”

Luke 9:23 “And he said to them all, if any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.”

Anything other than this is simply some humans’ deceived, twisting of God’s Word to meet their own opinion.
